Position Title: Administrative Coordinator [Limited Duration]
Class: Coordinator
Hours Per Week: .5FTE (1040hr annually – variable – evenings/weekends may be required)
Compensation: $33.50/hour – benefits may not be available, hourly position
Projected Start Date: October 1, 2026

Position Responsibilities
The Administrative Coordinator position requires a self-driven, motivated, and highly detail oriented person. The position collaborates with the two Directors, reporting directly to the Director of Programming. Special projects, competing priorities, and extensive research and writing are the norm. The Administrative Coordinator ensures a smooth back-end process, allowing the Directors and Program staff to do their work more efficiently and effectively.
This position, as all positions at UPRISE, is at will and dependent upon funding sources to continue. This position is currently available on a two-month, limited duration appointment pending additional funding.
Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Collaboratively meeting with Directors regularly to determine organizational priorities and needs.
● Collaborating in a team environment to support special projects or programming as needed.
● Developing content for our monthly newsletter and blog, and social media as needed.
● Coordinating with Directors, Program staff, and bookkeeper to manage and file invoicing, receipts, and budget updates.
● Supporting Directors in RFP and Grant research and writing.
● Supporting Programming with research and curriculum development as appropriate.
● Manage and disseminate the community email account to appropriate staff members.
● Support and manage the Monday.com accounts, supporting staff in documentation and updates in accordance with need.
● Support benefits management including 403(b) plan, and insurance.
● Support in business and nonprofit compliance.
● Occasional presence at tabling, programming, or other events to support on-the-ground effort, process payments, etc.
● Draft correspondence.
● Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
● 3+ years of project management, designing and implementing administrative efficiency processes.
● Demonstrated skill and knowledge of research skills and strong, detail-oriented writing skills.
● Access to phone, internet, and computer (organization does not necessarily provide).
● Ability to maintain a high level of self-motivation and organization for independent, detailed work and meeting tight timelines with important deliverables.
● Proficient in English reading, writing, and oral communication, although other language proficiencies are welcome.
● Willingness to pitch in as able in other areas is appreciated.
● Experience with google suites, MS Office, library and academic research, and internet search engines; triangulating data.
● Lived experience as a community member with multiple intersecting targeted identities as well as knowledge of resistance movements, mutual aid, and community building strategies.
Preferred
● Experience with RFP, RFI, RFPQ, and grant searching, writing, and reporting.
● Experience with facilitation, event planning, and curriculum content generation.
● Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting and budgeting software and processes.
● Experience supporting nonprofit, board management, and business compliance.

● Vacation and sick time ○ For the first year of employment, full time regular employees accrue 3 weeks of leave.
○ For the first year all part time regular employee leave accrual is based on hours worked.
○ Pending meeting all job requirements, vacation moves to unlimited year two for all regular employees.

Interview Process
1. Applications are screened by our interview team. Criteria include relevant experience, and the extent to which the candidate has demonstrated readiness for the position via their cover letter or any other pertinent information. Candidates will be contacted if selected for an interview.
2. First round interviews may take place virtually, with a panel of UPRISE staff, facilitators, and Board members. Expect anywhere from 2-5 people on your interview panel. This step may be skipped for current employees or partners with demonstrated experience working alongside UPRISE, or limited duration or on-call appointments.
3. Those candidates that are selected for a second round interview may be requested to prepare a second written or verbal interview depending on need. If required, details will be provided in writing via email following selection to move forward.
