Thank you to all who joined us for KidsRise 2024!
What is KidsRise?
Youth belong in conversations about liberation, and for KidsRise, artists submit content responding to prompts around what liberation looks like in youth spaces. Take a look at the gallery above at this year's KidsRise program! Thank you to all of our youth artists, the families who support them, and our resident artists who joined us to teach their craft: Daren Todd and Terressa White.
We'll see you for KidsRise 2025!

Meet Some Of Last Year's KidsRise Artists!
Sierra, 17
"I use my art to express the challenges I lived through and overcame to carve out a brighter future. I also draw upon my culture to help me feel connected to my ancestors and to give me strength. I possess a playful side and enjoy creating unusual pieces with a sense of whimsy."
Jayce, 11
"I am a family person I love playing games with people. I am an 11 year old light skin African American."
Aishiki, 17
"I'm currently an Youth Action Member of NextUp Oregon, an intern for OLCV and also the Youth City Councilor for Tigard Oregon."
Ameera, 17
"I am passionate about STEM, and creative writing. I love writing poetry, and letting my mind run free as I question why, and wonder how. I hope that one day my words will be sharp enough to spark the world into existence. When I'm not in school or writing poetry, I enjoy running, coding, and playing chess."
