About the Venue

ArtReach Gallery, where our 5 Year Anniversary Party will be held, is located inside of First Congregational United Church of Christ. We recognize  and honor that many of us have trauma associated with religious institutions, and affirm here that The UPRISE Collective is not a religious organization, nor does it align itself with any religious affiliation. The Gallery simply offers a cost-effective, accessible venue for our event. Please feel free to email us with questions or reflections: community@theuprisecollective.org

Membership with the UPRISE Collective

What is Membership?

The UPRISE Collective is a Member-Based 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, and we maintain that status for a reason. It's important to us that this organization, including programming, governance, and long-term goals, are reflective of all of us, rather than just the Staff, Board, and Contractors that engage in day-to-day decision making. Members play a central role in how UPRISE engages in this work, including:

  • Collaborative input in decision making with the UPRISE Board of Directors, Staff, and Contractors over programming,  training content, and our Strategic Plan.
  • Special Membership events, including our Annual Membership Meeting in May, which allow us to show appreciation to our members and collect your feedback.
  • Members have the opportunity to suggest and support new programming. All of our current programming exists because the community requested it; your ideas and needs are a central part of our purpose.
  • Members are also directly responsible for selecting our Board of Directors annually

Membership Registration:
After you have made your contribution for your membership dues, or if you are applying for the Free Sh*t level, don't forget to register! Registration is important so we can keep you up to date on current events, voting opportunities, and feedback events.

Membership Levels:
We recognize that everyone is in their own place financially. We have four membership tiers.
  1. Free Sh*t
  2. Sh*t Starter $5/Mo
  3. Sh*t Disturber $10/Mo
  4. Sh*t Destroyer  $15/Mo
Each membership level receives the same benefits. The tiered system is to allow those with more financial privilege to offset the cost for those with less financial privilege at the moment.
