Our community programming jumps into full speed this month with our Selah Series. Selah is our Storyteller series with speakers sharing their lived experience and covers Creation Stories, Healing Stories and Resistance Stories. Our community programming is the foundation of our community connections and how we build and sustain relationships and networks. This is where our membership grows,volunteers engage,we support eliminating isolation and provide offerings with truly accessible options for folx. Our Organizational Learning program dollars, grants, and donations helps UPRISE to fund its free community programming.
We host a variety of events online, in-person, or hybrid and all events provide ASL and CART services. As UPRISE continues to plan the upcoming programming year, we want to continue to build the spaces that we’ll need to move forward together with purpose, conviction, and a unified message. We remain with you in solidarity and in real time as the organizing landscape shifts.

Our annual civic engagement series, focused on the current political landscape, the organizing strategies that we owe to our ancestors, and the ways we are currently employing those strategies as ancestors in the making.

Disability Justice work including:
- Monthly Disability Coffee Hours
- Emergency Preparedness programming
- Demystifying Disability, our quarterly speaker series supporting the advancement of liberation in Sick and Disabled communities
Know Your Rights work in a rapidly changing political landscape
Feed Our People Program, a way to support community members with targeted identities who embody resistance in change spaces including:
- Care Kit program, mailed packages for folks who are doing the hard work of supporting our communities in reaching liberation
- Meals for Organizers, paying to feed the community groups doing social change work
We want to invite you to participate in all of our events, join and engage with the org by becoming a member, volunteer and or utilize the UPRISE Collective for training and support for your organization or work.
